Acquario di Bologna S.r.l. was born in Autumn 1999 with the purpose to become the most important Italian supplier, for specialized aquarium shops, of tropical fishes and plants with particular attention to freshwater fishes coming from the best farms and collectors all over the world.

The principal purpose of Acquario di Bologna is the aquarium care diffusion not as a consumeristic trade but as the growth of a naturalistic, cultural and aesthetical passion which would be able to bring to maturity the attention and care that every human must address to Nature and all her wonders.

Following this, an ethical choise is made towards the fishes to be imported, having a preference for the ones bred with a particular care and without artificial techniques, excluding species difficult to acclimatize or to adapt to captivity. An ethical choise which continues with an adequate quarantine in our fish-house before their sale.
